A busy working mom is looking for a dependable, organized and kind nanny/home helper to look after her two sons while she works. The nanny will be required to get the children off to school each morning and provide some additional hours of care after school. The nanny will care for children on “staff” school days and the few school holidays the mom must work (predominantly election day and Presidents’ Day) – mom gets standard holidays.  During the summer a schedule will be coordinated around summer camps and require typically transportation to local summer camps or caring for children on weeks they don’t have a camp (typically one week a month during the summer).  See below for more details.


In addition to childcare the nanny will provide light housecleaning (like children’s laundry, straighten children’s rooms with their help, etc.) and errands while the children are at school.


The nanny will work 22 hours a week on average but be paid for 30 hours guaranteed every week.  During the summer hours can increase on few weeks the children don’t have camps and schedule will be worked out with nanny ahead of time and paid accordingly per hourly rate for additional hours (the two half days are maintained in summer so Tuesday and Friday afternoons would still be without responsibilities).


The family has pets (see below). The family are looking for their next long-term nanny. Their current one is retiring.

All aspects of infant care will be required as well as light housekeeping in line with the child’s care.


Ideally seeking a nanny who understands the needs of a growing infant and plays a positive role in their development working closely with the parents.


Mom will be working outside of the home, but dad is home-based currently.


The family has no other children at this point but does have a friendly 12-year-old dog who does not require care.
